Entre poesía, pintura y relato en nuestra cita cultural de este mes se rindió homenaje al Amor. La noche se vistió de ternura y pasión que dando rienda suelta a la inspiración, se provocó un acogedor ambiente que abrazaba, ilustraba y celebraba el amor de la familia, de pareja, de los hijos, nietos, a la palabra y hasta mascotas.

 Degustamos de escritos como: “Búscame, Almohada, Te Daría, A Mi Manera, Ya No Vivo Por Ti, ¡Salud!, Piedritas de Amor, The Scarlet Rose, Si No Fuera Hombre, Se Me Ha Perdido Una Estrella, Cuando Caiga La Noche, Desde El Principio, Atrevido Amor, Renzo, Amor a la Palabra y muchos más”. Finalizamos nuestro mágico encuentro con fotografías y pintura con la participación de los agasajados de la noche, nuestros invitados especiales: Rosa Fuente, María Ruíz, Nilda Puchades, Rafael Sánchez, Ivonne Martin, Miriam Weiss, Nestor Pous, Nydia B., Andrea Arana, Ma. Ester Carusso & Marily Reyes.

Our February meeting was just fabulous. Our Special Guest was LOVE in the voices and art of  Rosa Fuente, María Ruíz, Nilda Puchades, Rafael Sánchez, Ivonne Martín, Miriam Weiss, Nestor Pous, Nydia Buch, Andrea Arana, Ma. Ester Carusso and Marily Reyes.  We did something a bit different this time, we had a contest and the attending public were the judges, they chose: 1st Place Ivonne Martín, 2nd Rosa Fuentes, 3rd Nydia Buch, who, besides their certificates, also took home a $10 check. A little bit of everything was read and excellent works I must say!  We welcomed new members Nydia Buch and Mucha de la Torre. Nilda prepared an acrostics contest and it was Mery Larrinua who won it taking home a wine bottle. Xiomara and Teresa Cifuentes paid us a visit, also Alberto Contreras. Janett and her husband Jaime joined us for the first time and she was so taken that joined the organization right away. At the end of the evening, people didn't want to leave, it was actually funny, I didn't know what else to say for them to get up and go.  What a feeling of love, of comradeship, truly a great evening!!
